Q. Do you sell standard engineered stone?

A. Lithostone is Australia’s first stone company fully committed to Desilicated crystalline silica free stone. We do not range any 98% silica engineered stone having invested in innovation and research since 2023 to transition our full range to a more responsible and safe silica free stone.

Q. How is Desilicated stone different?

Our reformulated V Surfaces Desilicated range provides a crystalline silica-free specification that is the future of surfaces in Australia, delivering a continuation of the most stunning surfaces to enhance your interior spaces.

V Surfaces is a Vitrified Compact Surface (VCS) with an amorphous structure made of 89% recycled materials. Our new formula has been tested in Australia by NATA approved laboratories. It provides a safer and sustainable surface delivering without compromise.

Q. Are Lithostone products certified or regulated?

A. With a commitment to quality, sustainability and ethical practices, our products have global standards including NSF, Greenguard and ISO 9001.

Specifications and Installation

Q. What sizes are available for Lithostone surfaces?

A. Our slab sizes are a full jumbo slab at 1320mm x 1600mm allowing versatility across applications.

Q. Does Desilicated Lithostone require special installation?

A. There is no special installation for Desilicated stone, allowing the same equipment for cutting and installation, following recommended safe work practices.

Q. Where can Lithostone products be installed?

A. Our stone surfaces are suitable for most internal applications, including splashbacks as determined by kitchen installers. Lithostone Desilicated stone is not recommended for external applications and is not covered under the 15-year limited warranty with outdoor use. Q. Can Lithostone help with colour and surface selection?

A. With our range of 30 colours in Desilicated engineered stone and the most on-trend range of marble and granite, our team work can work with each client personally to support your selection of stone. From providing full slab inspections and interior design expertise, we offer a unique experience to give you full confidence in your choice.

Q. How are Lithostone products priced?

A. Our range of V Surfaces, Compac and marble and granite caters to pricepoints from a builders range, super range, premium range up to the most luxury of stones. This allows for the balance of budget whilst investing in a beautiful expression of design and performance.

Q. What warranty do Lithostone carry?

A. V Surfaces and Compac Surfaces carry a 15 year limited warranty. However, natural stone slabs do not carry a warranty.

Care & Maintenance

Q. I’m worried about looking after a stone surface. What do I need to do?

A. Stone is perceived as precious and difficult to care for, however warm soapy water and a soft cloth are the first steps to easy care of our surfaces. We offer a cream cleanser where further cleaning is required. Follow our care and maintenance guide and your stone will be primed to look and perform at its best.
